Ingredients:
- 2 cups garbanzo beans
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 pinch paprika
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, minced
Blend the garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, salt and garlic together using a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
Place into a serving bowl and drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the mixture. Sprinkle with paprika and fresh parsely. You can even add a little bit of cayenne to spice it up if you dare! 😉
I’ve made hummus during the cleanse however I eliminate the salt. I also purchase the garbanzos in bulk and let them soak overnite and boil instead of using the canned ones. I use Organic Sesame Tahini which comes in a jar and is made by Arrowhead Mills. You can purchase this at Whole Foods.
